Chesna started in September 2024 as Second’s Interim Pastor. She is excited to be here during a time of hope and transition.
Chesna grew up in wild and beautiful Michigan, and tries to spend time every summer at Lake Michigan beaches and Grand Rapids breweries. She loves to read, travel (24 countries and 28 states so far!), and talk with friends over good food. She is interested lately in prayer and ethics, often in the Eucharist and epistemology, and always in Augustine, the Trinity, and the biblical gender equality movement. Chesna’s cat, Regan, who lives up to an unsavory Shakespearean namesake, is her favorite person.
Chesna was ordained at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, where she most recently served. She is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and the University of Pittsburgh.
